Smith Robertson Museum & Cultural Center in the heart of the city of Jackson, houses artifacts, documents that represents the African-American experience of Mississippi. The building was the first public school in Jackson for African-American children.
The Oaks House MuseumHome of James Hervey Boyd mayor of Jackson during the civil war. This is one of a few structures that survived the burning of Jackson by Union Soldier.
