The Old Capitol Museum is now closed due to Hurricane Katrina Damage.  It is now undergoing renovation.



Manship House in Jackson MS

The Manship House Museum named after Charles Manship mayor of Jackson during the Civil War. This is the Manship home which he built for his wife and 15 children.

The Museum of Natural Science is a great place to visit .  It promotes Mississippi's biological diversity.  Spend an afternoon exploring the wonders of Mississippi in their exhibits.

A tribute to the life of Pulitzer Price winning author Endora Welty.  This was her home for 76 years.  Her mother and her created the garden and she maintained it long after her mothers death.  Her home and works were donated to the state and is now a  national historical landmark.

A fun place to spend an afternoon.  You can discovery Mississippi's proud agriculture heritage and step back in time by walking a through a replica of a town from the past.

Smith Robertson Museum & Cultural Center in the heart of the city of Jackson, houses artifacts, documents that represents the African-American experience of Mississippi.  The building was the first public school in Jackson for African-American children.
